On Thursday 4th June 2026, Dan Walsh brings his electrifying blend of banjo brilliance and heartfelt songwriting to Ebenezer’s as part of the Roots at Ebenezer’s programme of live-streamed concerts. A BBC Folk Award nominee, Dan has built a reputation for performances that are both blisteringly kinetic and warmly conversational, drawing audiences in with dazzling five-string virtuosity, inventive guitar work and a natural storyteller’s charm. From an early love of Irish banjo to the shimmering Americana of artists like Alison Krauss, Union Station and Nickel Creek, his music channels bluegrass drive, country soul and roots-rich exploration — all delivered with infectious energy.
The concert also showcases material from his latest album, At The Station, a joyous return to the bluegrass and Americana sounds that first inspired him. Alongside his solo career, Dan is a member of the acclaimed Urban Folk Quartet and a sought-after collaborator, having recorded with Ward Thomas and Darius Rucker, and performed live with Imelda May and Seasick Steve. Expect stirring anthems, foot-stomping instrumentals, moving ballads and searing melodic vocals in what promises to be an unforgettable night of bluegrass and roots music at Ebenezer’s.
