SOLD OUT

Roots at Ebenezer’s is proud to welcome Jim Kirkpatrick for a very special solo, rootsy, blues-soaked acoustic performance from the concert room at Ebenezer’s.

Dubbed “England’s equivalent to Joe Bonamassa” by Blues Matters, Jim Kirkpatrick is one of the UK’s most respected blues-rock guitarists, songwriters and performers. Best known as the long-standing lead guitarist with FM, Jim’s solo work has earned him widespread critical acclaim and a reputation as one of Britain’s most compelling and underrated musical voices.

For this Roots at Ebenezer’s show, Jim strips things right back. Expect raw, intimate acoustic blues, rich storytelling, soulful vocals and dazzling fingerstyle and slide guitar — drawing on influences from blues, Americana, gospel and roots music. This is a rare chance to experience Jim’s songwriting and musicianship up close, in a setting that perfectly suits his more reflective, roots-driven side.

His most recent album, Dead Man Walking, has been hailed as “quite simply a masterpiece” and “album of the year” by multiple blues publications — but tonight is about the songs at their most honest and unfiltered.

If you love authentic blues, roots music and world-class guitar playing in an intimate atmosphere, this is not to be missed.
